1939 French Fashion Print-Balenciaga, Matted

This is a matted 1939 fashion illustration that appeared in a French magazine of the time. It is original to 1939 and NOT a recent reproduction print. It showcases an elegant evening gown design by the iconic Balenciaga. It was described as a satin floor length gown with a “pinafore” and bodice with velvet embroidery.
