Founded in Paris in 1690, Jean-Baptiste-Claude Odiot began a silver and goldsmith house which to this day is among the most prestigious in the world. For centuries, the Odiot house has been an ambassador for French excellence. From the 17th to the 21st centuries, Odiot is synonymous with opulent luxury and timeless elegance.

Hallmarked on the bottoms, “Mon Odiot Paris” with the Odiot logo used from 1906 until 1956 (an oil lamp with an “O” above the lamp and “Bs” beneath the lamp, which stood for Boulenger & Cie) and a 4 digit item number individual to each piece. (Serving vessel #2388, creamer #3886 and sugar bowl #3885).
The French Silver assay guarantee marks, “Minerva” with a no. 1 near her forehead, (located on the bodies of the pieces), indicate the silver purity is 950 and that the pieces were manufactured between 1838 and the present day.
