A stunning and extremely decorative large scale true pair of Italian early 19th century neo-classical st. patinated wood trumeau mirrors. Each mirror is raised by an elegant mottled base below a recessed panel framed within a fine foliate border with striking richly carved blooming flowers and fruit at each side. At the center is a unique and most decorative wave like band with additional beautiful flowers at each side. At the center are the original mirror plates, in two parts, framed within a charming baluster border. Leading up each side are sensational intricately detailed urns with floral and foliate designs amidst lovely palm fronds, laurel wreaths, and superb acorns. Above are magnificent plaques with exceptional central reserves of Apollo pursuing Daphne flanked by richly carved colorful flowers tied with a ribbon and framed within a spiral intertwined band and foliate mottled border. Impressive proportions and exceptional attention to detail.
