Fabulous vintage c.1940’s Showa-era Japanese elm wood Kyodai vanity tansu! This is a great piece, very diminutive in size and scale, as they were designed to be used in traditional Japanese homes whilst sitting on the floor on tatami mats or on a low table. This is a fantastic piece to utilize as a dressing vanity or just as a lovely storage unit, entry mirror, etc!

It measures 29 3/4″ wide, 12 3/4″ deep and 44″ in overall height to the top of the mirror, 15 1/4″ tall to the top of the cabinet. The mirror slides up to be removed for transport and storage.

It is in very good vintage condition as shown in the photographs, with age appropriate wear throughout. No significant areas of damage to note.
